Compliance with European standards has never been easier. We are pleased to announce that the e-Invoice (e-Fakture) module is now available within the AdBooks app! This new feature allows you to generate invoices in a digital XML format that is fully compliant with the UBL 2.1 European EN 16931 standard.
Why use e-Invoices?
Digital transformation has become the standard. Instead of sending classic PDF documents, an e-Invoice in XML format enables your clients (especially those in the European market) to benefit from automated processing, faster bookkeeping, and direct import of documents into their accounting systems.
How to enable and set up the system?
By default, e-Invoices are disabled. You can activate and quickly configure them in three simple steps:
Click on your name in the top right cornerAccount Settings.
In the left menu, select e-Invoice Settings.
Check the “Enable e-invoice feature” option, enter your Peppol ID (VAT number), and save the changes.
⚠️ Important: Bank account as the main prerequisite
To display the e-Invoice export option in the app, you must have a default bank account set up. When adding an account, make sure to click on the star next to it—once it turns green, the account is ready for XML documents.
Simple one-click export
Once everything is set up, a new option will appear on every invoice right below the standard “Export as PDF”: e-Invoice (XML). Clicking it downloads the document in seconds, ready for sending.
Smart data validation (AdBooks thinks of everything)
If your invoice or profile is missing any legally required information (such as IBAN, client’s VAT number, or item description), the app will temporarily block the export and show a clear pop-up window telling you exactly what needs to be added.
